Tournament Rules and Fair Play Expectations
Organised mobile tournaments work best when every player understands the same basic standards. This page summarises the fair-play expectations that apply across HB Battle community information and typical event rules. Always read the specific rules published for each individual event, because formats and requirements can differ.
Core principles
Fair competition rests on a few simple ideas: one player per account, honest reporting, respect for the published format, and no use of tools or methods that give an unfair advantage. These principles protect both beginners and experienced players.
- One account per participant — Creating extra accounts to gain extra entries or to manipulate results is prohibited in almost every organised event.
- No cheating tools or unauthorised software — Emulators, scripts, aimbots, wallhacks or any similar tools are banned where the event rules prohibit them.
- Honest evidence — Screenshots and recordings must accurately show the result. Edited or false evidence is a serious violation.
- Respectful conduct — Harassment, threats, hate speech or personal attacks against other players or organisers are not part of competitive play.
- Follow the published format — If the event specifies a mode, map pool, scoring system or time limit, play by those conditions.
Before the event
Players are responsible for checking:
- Registration requirements and deadlines
- Game version and account readiness
- How match rooms or lobbies will be shared
- The exact scoring or ranking method
- Evidence requirements and reporting deadlines
- Disconnect and dispute procedures
If any point is unclear, ask through the official support channel before the event starts. Waiting until match day often leaves too little time for a clear answer.
During matches
Join on time, use the official room or lobby details, and play according to the rules. Keep a calm record of important moments if the event requires evidence. Do not share your account credentials with anyone, including people who claim they can help you win or fix a problem.
If a technical issue occurs, note the approximate time and any visible error messages. Clear information helps organisers decide whether a restart, a technical win, or another resolution is appropriate.
Result reporting
Most events require proof of the outcome. Submit evidence only through the official form or channel. Common requirements include final score screens, victory screens with player names, or short recordings. Late submissions can delay prize distribution or force organisers to treat the result as incomplete.
If you believe a result is wrong, open a formal dispute with evidence. Emotional messages without proof rarely lead to a fair review.
Prohibited conduct (summary)
- Using multiple accounts in the same tournament
- Collusion between players to eliminate others unfairly
- Submitting false or manipulated evidence
- Using banned software or hardware advantages
- Account sharing or selling tournament slots
- Harassment or threats against other participants or staff
- Publicly sharing private room codes or registration details in a way that harms the event
Penalties can range from a warning to removal from the current event or a longer restriction, depending on the severity and the organiser’s policy.
Disconnects and technical problems
Mobile networks and devices are not perfect. Event rules usually explain what happens when a player disconnects, when both sides have problems, or when the game itself fails. Knowing the rule in advance prevents panic and arguments.
Document what happened with timestamps when possible. Organisers can only act on information they can verify.
Prizes and expectations
Prize pools and entry conditions vary by event. HB Battle does not guarantee any prize or ranking. Tournament participation should never be treated as a source of guaranteed income or as employment. Only spend what you can afford, and read the prize information carefully before you register.
How to get help
Account and match issues should be reported through the Help & Support section inside the player platform so the ticket is linked to your history. For questions about the public rules or guides, use the Contact page. Privacy requests should follow the process in the Privacy Policy.
